Description
Crispy baked taco cups made with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, wonton wrappers, and fresh toppings. Perfect for parties, game days, and family gatherings.
Ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
1 pound ground beef
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Salt, to taste
1 can (14 ounces) petite diced tomatoes, drained
24 wonton wrappers
1 1/4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup sliced green onions
1/4 cup diced fresh tomatoes
Cooking spray
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Lightly coat a 12-cup muffin pan with cooking spray.
2. Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart until browned and fully cooked, about 4 to 5 minutes.
3. Stir in the taco seasoning and add salt only as needed. Mix in the drained diced tomatoes and cook for another minute.
4. Press one wonton wrapper into each muffin cup. Add about 1 tablespoon of the beef mixture to each cup, then sprinkle with about 2 teaspoons of shredded cheddar cheese.
5. Place a second wonton wrapper over each filled cup. Divide the remaining beef mixture and cheese evenly on top.
6. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, until the wonton edges are crisp and golden and the cheese is melted.
7. Top each cup with sour cream, green onions, and fresh diced tomatoes. Serve warm.
Notes
Drain the tomatoes well to prevent excess moisture.
Add toppings just before serving for maximum crispness.
Store leftovers without toppings and reheat in the oven.
