Creamy cheesy chicken casserole topped with crispy golden tater tots and baked until hot and bubbly.
Ingredients
3 cups cooked shredded chicken
1/2 cup sour cream
1 can cream of chicken soup, 10 ounces
1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup, 10 ounces
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 packet ranch seasoning mix
1 package frozen tater tots, 32 ounces
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the sour cream, cream of chicken soup, cheddar cheese soup, milk, shredded cheddar cheese, ranch seasoning, salt, pepper, and garlic powder until smooth and creamy.
3. Fold in the shredded chicken until evenly coated.
4. Spread the chicken mixture into the prepared baking dish. Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the top.
5. Bake for 30 to 45 minutes, or until the casserole is hot, bubbly, and the tater tots are golden. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for extra flavor and convenience.
Broil for 2 to 3 minutes at the end for crispier tater tots.
Frozen peas or broccoli can be added for extra vegetables.
