This honey butter cornbread casserole is creamy, buttery, sweet, and perfect for comforting family dinners or holiday meals.
Ingredients
1 box cornbread mix (8.5 ounces)
1 can cream-style corn (about 14.75 ounces)
1 can whole corn kernels, drained (about 15.25 ounces)
1 large egg
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and egg until smooth.
3. Add the sour cream and honey, then whisk again until fully combined.
4. Stir in the cream-style corn, drained corn kernels, and cornbread mix until everything is evenly incorporated.
5. Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking dish and pour the batter into the pan.
6. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean with a few moist crumbs.
7. Let the casserole cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
8. Serve warm with an extra drizzle of honey if desired.
Notes
Do not overmix the batter to keep the casserole soft and tender.
For extra flavor, drizzle warm honey over the casserole before serving.
