Description

Crispy baked chicken tenders coated with garlic, Parmesan cheese, and crunchy panko breadcrumbs for an easy and flavorful family dinner.


Ingredients

1 1/4 pounds boneless, skinless chicken tenders

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

6 tablespoons olive oil or melted butter

3 teaspoons minced garlic

1 teaspoon dried basil

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

2/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.

2. Trim any excess fat or tendons from the chicken tenders and pat them dry with paper towels.

3. In the first shallow bowl, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper.

4. In the second bowl, stir together the olive oil or melted butter with the minced garlic.

5. In the third bowl, mix the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, dried basil, and paprika.

6. Coat each chicken tender in the flour mixture, then dip it into the garlic oil mixture, and finally press it into the panko mixture until fully coated.

7. Arrange the coated tenders on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.

8. Bake for 15 minutes, then carefully flip the tenders over. Continue baking for another 5–8 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F and the coating is golden and crispy.

9. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.

Notes

For extra crispiness, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.

Freshly grated Parmesan creates the best flavor and texture.

Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer to maintain crunch.
