Description
A quick and rich pasta dish with shrimp, garlic, and a creamy Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
8 ounces linguine pasta
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 1/2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon seafood seasoning or smoked paprika (optional)
1 clove garlic, finely minced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1. Bring a medium saucepan of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water, then drain.
2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Cook shrimp with seasoning for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, melt remaining butter. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Pour in heavy cream and stir, scraping the pan.
5. Add Parmesan and stir until smooth. Adjust with pasta water if needed.
6. Add pasta and toss to coat. Return shrimp and mix gently.
7. Sprinkle parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
Reserve pasta water for best sauce consistency.
Serve immediately for best texture.
