Description
A rich and comforting potato side dish made with garlic, butter, cream, and fresh herbs.
Ingredients
1 pound white potatoes, quartered
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons chopped parsley, optional
Instructions
1. Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil and stir in the sea salt.
2. Leave the potatoes unpeeled, or peel them if preferred. Cut them into quarters.
3. Add the potatoes to the boiling water and cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until fork-tender.
4. Drain the potatoes and set them aside.
5. In the same saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and cook for about 3 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant and lightly golden.
6. Pour in the heavy cream, lower the heat, and simmer for about 5 minutes.
7. Return the drained potatoes to the saucepan and gently toss them in the creamy garlic sauce.
8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in parsley, if using, and serve warm.
Notes
Do not overcook the potatoes to maintain texture.
Add extra cream when reheating for best consistency.
Fresh herbs enhance flavor but are optional.
