Creamy Garlic Butter Steak Bites

Description

Tender steak bites seared and coated in a creamy garlic butter sauce, served over mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

4 cups mashed red potatoes

1 ½ pounds ribeye or New York strip steak, cut into cubes

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 ½ teaspoons smoked paprika

¾ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon onion powder

2 teaspoons Italian seasoning

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

½ small shallot, minced

6 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

â…“ cup Parmesan cheese

½ tablespoon parsley


Instructions

1. Prepare mashed potatoes and keep warm.

2. Season steak and rest 15 minutes.

3. Sear steak in hot skillet 2 minutes per side.

4. Remove steak and reduce heat.

5. Add butter, shallot, and garlic.

6. Return steak and coat in butter.

7. Remove steak again, leaving butter.

8. Add cream and simmer briefly.

9. Turn off heat, add Parmesan and parsley.

10. Serve over mashed potatoes.

Notes

Use a hot pan for best sear.

Do not overcook steak.

Add cream slowly for smooth sauce.
