Description
A rich and comforting rice dish infused with garlic and butter, perfect as a side or main.
Ingredients
4 to 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
5 garlic cloves, finely minced
2 cups uncooked white rice
3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
3/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
1. Melt half of the butter in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
2. Add garlic and cook until lightly golden.
3. Stir in rice and cook briefly.
4. Add broth and salt, bring to a boil.
5. Cover and reduce heat to low.
6. Cook for 15 minutes undisturbed.
7. Remove from heat and rest for 10 minutes.
8. Fluff and stir in remaining butter.
9. Add parsley and serve.
Notes
Do not lift the lid while cooking.
Adjust salt depending on broth used.
Add vegetables or protein as desired.
