Description
Creamy buffalo chicken dip bake loaded with shredded chicken, ranch dressing, buffalo sauce, and melted cheese for the perfect party appetizer.
Ingredients
3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
1 cup ranch dressing
1 cup buffalo-style hot sauce, plus extra if desired
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup green onions, chopped
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
1. If the chicken is not already cooked, place the chicken breasts in a large pot of boiling water. Cover, remove from heat, and let cook for about 25 minutes or until fully cooked through. Shred the chicken and set aside.
2. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Lightly coat a 9×9-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
3. In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir continuously until the cream cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
4. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the shredded chicken, green onions, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, and 1 cup cheddar cheese until evenly combined.
5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
6. Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbling around the edges.
7. Switch the oven to broil and cook for another 2–3 minutes, just until the cheese on top turns golden brown. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
8. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, toasted bread, or fresh vegetable sticks.
Notes
For extra heat, drizzle additional buffalo sauce over the top before serving.
Rotisserie chicken works well for faster preparation.
