Ingredients
2 pounds lean ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 large green bell pepper, diced
1 large red bell pepper, diced
1 large onion, diced
4 ounces cream cheese
8 slices provolone cheese
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2. Place an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart as it browns. Season with salt and black pepper.
3. Add the diced onion and bell peppers. Cook until the vegetables are tender and the beef is fully cooked.
4. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and evenly mixed. Remove the skillet from the heat.
5. Lay the provolone slices over the top of the beef mixture.
6. Bake for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden. Serve warm.
Notes
Use lean ground beef for the best texture.
Allow the peppers to fully soften before baking.
