Description

A comforting homemade garlic bread with melted mozzarella, crisp edges, and rich buttery flavor.


Ingredients

1 loaf of bread (about 12 inches long)

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 garlic cloves, finely minced

2 to 2 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 320°F.

2. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, and salt. Stir well.

3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise. Place both halves on a baking sheet.

4. Evenly drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the cut sides of the bread.

5. Bake for about 20 minutes until edges are lightly crisp.

6. Increase oven temperature to 390°F and sprinkle cheese evenly.

7. Bake another 7 to 10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.

8. Remove, garnish with parsley, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Use fresh mozzarella for best melt.

Do not skip the two-stage baking process.
