Description
Crispy oven baked chicken wings tossed in a buttery garlic Parmesan sauce with fresh parsley and rich savory flavor.
Ingredients
2 to 3 pounds chicken wing pieces, separated with tips removed
2 to 3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 to 2 teaspoons coarse sea salt
1 to 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1/2 cup butter
3 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Extra Parmesan cheese for garnish, optional
Ranch dressing for serving, optional
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.
2. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire rack on top for extra crispy wings.
3. Pat the chicken wings dry using paper towels. Place them in a large bowl and lightly coat with cornstarch. Season with salt and black pepper.
4. Drizzle the vegetable oil over the wings and toss until evenly coated.
5. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
6. Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
7. While the wings bake, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until fragrant and lightly golden.
8. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the chopped parsley and Parmesan cheese.
9. Transfer the hot baked wings to a large bowl. Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss until fully coated.
10. Sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese if desired and serve warm with ranch dressing.
Notes
For extra crispy wings, use a wire rack during baking.
Freshly grated Parmesan melts more smoothly into the garlic butter sauce.
Serve immediately for the best texture.
