Description
A rich and comforting casserole made with tender meatballs, creamy garlic parmesan sauce, and melted cheese.
Ingredients
1 bag fully cooked beef or turkey meatballs
2 tablespoons butter
1 garlic clove, halved
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 heaping tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Salt, to taste
Chopped parsley, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the meatballs in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake according to the package directions, until heated through.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
3. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in chicken broth until smooth and thickened.
4. Add cream, pepper, red pepper flakes, and Parmesan cheese. Remove garlic.
5. Transfer meatballs to casserole dish, pour sauce over, and top with mozzarella.
6. Bake 10 to 15 minutes until cheese is melted and golden.
7. Season with salt, garnish with parsley, and serve.
Notes
Use turkey or beef meatballs depending on preference.
Adjust spice level by reducing or increasing red pepper flakes.
Serve with vegetables or pasta for a complete meal.
