Description

Tender chicken thighs baked in a rich garlic Parmesan cream sauce for a comforting and flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

5 boneless, skinless chicken thighs, patted dry

1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

Salt and black pepper, to taste

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided

2 tablespoons finely minced garlic

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup chicken broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill, optional

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. Season both sides of the chicken thighs with poultry seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

3. Melt 2 tablespoons butter in an oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and sear for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until lightly golden. Transfer the chicken to a plate.

4. In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons butter. Add the garlic and cook for about 1 minute, stirring often.

5. Sprinkle in the flour and stir constantly for 1 minute to form a smooth base for the sauce.

6. Slowly pour in the chicken broth while stirring. Cook for about 1 minute, until the sauce begins to thicken.

7. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Taste and adjust with more salt and black pepper as needed.

8. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over the top.

9. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches 165°F in the center.

10. Garnish with fresh dill, if using, and serve warm.

Notes

Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.

Do not skip searing, as it builds depth in the sauce.

Add a splash of broth when reheating to loosen the sauce if needed.
