Description
Tender chicken in a rich garlic cream sauce, perfect for a quick and comforting dinner.
Ingredients
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.3 lbs total)
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter, divided
1 whole garlic bulb (8–9 cloves), peeled and smashed
1 cup chicken broth
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Additional salt and pepper, to taste
Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Slice each chicken breast horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
2. Season chicken with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then coat lightly with flour.
3. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet and cook chicken for about 4 minutes per side until golden and cooked through.
4. Remove chicken and set aside.
5. Add remaining butter and garlic to the skillet, cooking until fragrant.
6. Pour in chicken broth and cream, then add garlic powder and simmer until thickened.
7. Adjust seasoning as needed.
8. Return chicken to skillet and coat with sauce.
9. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, let the sauce reduce fully before returning the chicken.
Serve with rice, pasta, or vegetables for a complete meal.
