Description
Honey Garlic Meatballs simmer in a glossy sweet–savory sauce made from honey, soy sauce, garlic, and broth. This easy stovetop dinner comes together quickly and pairs well with rice or vegetables.
Ingredients
1 pound beef meatballs
½ cup beef broth
1 tablespoon cornstarch
¼ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, whisk together the broth and cornstarch until smooth.
2. Add the honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, and optional crushed red pepper. Whisk until the sauce is fully combined.
3. Warm a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until heated through.
4. Pour the honey-garlic sauce over the meatballs. Stir to coat and simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the meatballs are fully warmed.
5. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve with rice and steamed vegetables.
Notes
For extra heat, increase the crushed red pepper. These meatballs work well for meal prep and reheat beautifully with a splash of broth.
