Description
Crispy oven-baked chicken wings tossed in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce, finished with sesame seeds for the perfect sticky glaze.
Ingredients
30 chicken wings
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup honey
3/4 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon freshly minced ginger
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with foil and parchment paper.
2. Pat wings completely dry.
3. Mix salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Toss wings with seasoning and olive oil.
4. Arrange in single layer and bake 35 minutes, flipping halfway.
5. Simmer soy sauce, honey, water, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
6. Mix cornstarch with 1 tablespoon cold water and stir into sauce. Simmer until thickened.
7. Toss baked wings in sauce and return to oven for 10 minutes, flipping halfway.
8. Broil 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
9. Rest 10 minutes and garnish with sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
Pat wings very dry for maximum crispiness.
Sauce thickens more as it cools.
Use gluten-free soy sauce if needed.
