Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  • Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak pieces in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper.

  • Let the steak cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes to develop a deep sear. Stir, then cook for another 2 minutes until browned on all sides. If your pan is small, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
