Ingredients
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1½ pounds sirloin steak, cut into bite-size pieces
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon black pepper
-
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
-
4 cloves garlic, minced
-
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
-
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
-
Warm the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak pieces in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper.
-
Let the steak cook undisturbed for about 2 minutes to develop a deep sear. Stir, then cook for another 2 minutes until browned on all sides. If your pan is small, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding.
-
Transfer the cooked steak to a plate. Lower the heat to medium and add the butter to the skillet.
-
When the butter melts, stir in the garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for about 30 seconds, just until the garlic becomes fragrant and lightly golden.
-
Pour the garlic butter over the steak bites and toss to coat.
-
Sprinkle with parsley and serve warm.
