Description
Crispy Chicken Cheese Balls are golden, crunchy bites filled with shredded chicken, mozzarella, and flavorful herbs. Perfect for parties, snacks, and gatherings.
Ingredients
2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 cup breadcrumbs
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
Water, as needed
Oil, for deep frying
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded chicken, mozzarella, cilantro, oregano, chili flakes, and salt. Mix until moldable.
2. Divide mixture and shape into small smooth balls.
3. Place 2 tablespoons flour in one bowl. Mix remaining flour with water to form a thin paste. Spread breadcrumbs on a plate.
4. Roll each ball in dry flour, dip into flour paste, then coat in breadcrumbs.
5. Heat oil over medium heat.
6. Fry in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
7. Remove and drain on paper towels.
8. Serve hot.
Notes
For freezing, shape and coat the balls, freeze until firm, then store in airtight containers. Fry directly from frozen, adding extra cooking time.
For baking, brush lightly with oil and bake at 400°F until golden.
