Description
This creamy, cheesy chicken taco queso dip is baked until hot and bubbly, packed with shredded chicken, jalapeño, and bold taco seasoning. Perfect for parties and game day.
Ingredients
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup sour cream
1 jalapeño, finely minced (seeds removed for less heat)
1/2 tablespoon taco seasoning, plus more to taste
1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded
3/4 cup shredded Mexican-style cheese blend
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a small baking dish and set aside.
2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, minced jalapeño, and taco seasoning. Stir until smooth and fully blended.
3. Fold in the shredded chicken and shredded cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Mix until evenly incorporated.
4. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
5. Bake for 20 minutes, or until hot, bubbly around the edges, and lightly golden on top.
6. Serve warm with tortilla chips or fresh vegetable sticks.
Notes
For extra heat, keep some jalapeño seeds or add a pinch of cayenne.
You can assemble the dip up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate before baking.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
