Description

Chicken Parmesan Sliders layered with crispy chicken, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella baked inside buttery garlic rolls.

Ingredients

12 crispy chicken tenders or baked chicken cutlets, cooked and cooled

12 slider rolls

4 tablespoons butter, melted

3 garlic cloves, finely minced (or 1 teaspoon granulated garlic)

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning or oregano

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

12 slices mozzarella cheese

1 cup thick marinara sauce, plus more for serving

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese, divided

1–2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 12 x 8-inch baking dish or line a sheet pan with parchment paper.

2. Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in the prepared dish.

3. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, garlic, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.

4. Brush the cut sides of the bottom rolls generously with the garlic butter.

5. Layer 6 slices of mozzarella cheese over the rolls. Spread about half of the marinara sauce evenly over the cheese.

6. Arrange the cooked chicken evenly on top, then spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken.

7. Sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of the Parmesan cheese and cover with the remaining mozzarella slices.

8. Place the top halves of the rolls over the sliders. Brush the tops with the remaining garlic butter and sprinkle with the remaining Parmesan cheese.

9. Cover loosely with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 3–5 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and the cheese is fully melted.

10. Let cool slightly, then cut along the rolls to separate into individual sliders. Serve warm with extra marinara sauce on the side.

Notes

Use thick marinara to prevent soggy rolls.

Allow sliders to cool slightly before slicing.

Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven for best texture.
