Description
Chicken Parmesan Slider Squares made with crispy chicken nuggets, marinara sauce, and melted mozzarella and parmesan baked on sweet Hawaiian rolls until golden and bubbly.
Ingredients
12 large frozen chicken nuggets
12 sweet Hawaiian-style dinner rolls
1 cup thick marinara sauce or pizza sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheese blend
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven and cook the chicken nuggets according to the package directions. Once cooked, set them aside. Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Slice the dinner rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves and top halves cut-side up on the baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
3. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the cut side of both the bottom and top halves of each roll.
4. Place one cooked chicken nugget on each bottom half. Spoon a small amount of additional sauce over each nugget, then top with a generous tablespoon of shredded cheese.
5. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese-covered nuggets, aligning them evenly.
6. In a small bowl, stir together the melted butter, garlic salt, and Italian seasoning. Brush the seasoned butter generously over the tops of the rolls.
7. Bake on the center rack for 10–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly golden and toasted.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use thick marinara sauce to prevent soggy rolls.
For extra flavor, sprinkle additional parmesan over the tops before baking.
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheat in the oven for best texture.
