Ingredients
2 (17.3-ounce) packages frozen puff pastry, thawed
1½ cups marinara sauce
4 cups frozen popcorn chicken, thawed (or chopped cooked chicken breast)
8 ounces fresh mozzarella pearls
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Garlic powder, to taste
Italian seasoning, to taste
1 large egg
1 tablespoon water
Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Unfold puff pastry sheets and cut each into 9 equal squares. Arrange on baking sheet.
3. Spoon marinara sauce into the center of each square, leaving a border.
4. Top with popcorn chicken, mozzarella pearls, and grated Parmesan.
5. Season with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
6. Whisk egg and water, then brush exposed pastry edges with egg wash.
7. Bake 15–18 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
8. Cool slightly, garnish with fresh basil or parsley, and serve warm.
Notes
Do not overload the pastry to prevent sogginess.
Keep sauce centered to allow proper puffing.
Reheat leftovers in a 350°F oven for best texture.
