Description

This Chicken Alfredo Tortellini Skillet is a rich, creamy one-pan meal made with juicy chicken breast, cheesy tortellini, and a garlic Parmesan Alfredo sauce. A comforting, crowd-pleasing dinner that’s ready in 30 minutes.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon cooking oil

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound), cubed

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

3 cloves garlic, finely minced

1 cup low-sodium chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

3 cups cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)

Instructions

1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.

2. Add the cubed chicken to the skillet and season with seasoned salt and garlic powder. Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is lightly browned on the outside.

3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, just until fragrant.

4. Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, then add the salt and black pepper. Stir well and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

5. Add the tortellini to the skillet and return to a simmer. Cover the pan, leaving a small gap for steam to escape. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook for 5–6 minutes, or until the tortellini is tender and the sauce begins to thicken.

6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add fresh parsley if desired. Let the pasta rest for a minute to allow the sauce to thicken further.

7. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed, then serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, finish with a sprinkle of crushed red pepper or an extra handful of shredded mozzarella before serving. You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter version. Use fresh or frozen tortellini—both work well.
