Description

Cheesy Chicken Taco Dip is a warm, creamy, baked appetizer made with shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, jalapeño, taco seasoning, and melted Mexican-style cheese. Perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

3/4 cup sour cream

1 jalapeño, finely minced (seeds and ribs removed for less heat)

1/2 tablespoon taco seasoning, or more to taste

1 1/2 cups cooked chicken breast, shredded

3/4 cup shredded Mexican-style cheese blend

Salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Tortilla chips, for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F. Lightly grease a small baking dish.

2. In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the softened cream cheese and sour cream until smooth and creamy.

3. Mix in the minced jalapeño and taco seasoning. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.

4. Fold in the shredded chicken and shredded cheese. Season lightly with salt and black pepper. Stir until everything is evenly combined.

5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

6. Bake for about 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot, bubbly around the edges, and lightly golden on top.

7. Let cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

For extra heat, leave some jalapeño seeds or substitute pepper jack cheese.

This dip can be assembled ahead and refrigerated before baking.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
