This bold and creamy Buffalo Chicken Ranch Casserole is the ultimate comfort food! Loaded with tender chicken, spicy buffalo ranch sauce, crispy tater tots, and melty cheese, it’s a one-pan dinner your whole family will devour.
Ingredients
1½ to 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
24 ounces frozen tater tots
¼ cup hot sauce (use less for mild heat)
1 cup ranch dressing
1 cup shredded cheese blend
6 green onions, thinly sliced
2 to 4 celery stalks, thinly sliced
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2. In a small bowl, stir together the hot sauce and ranch dressing until smooth.
3. Spread the chicken pieces and sliced celery evenly in a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish.
4. Pour half of the buffalo ranch sauce over the chicken and gently toss to coat.
5. Sprinkle most of the green onions over the chicken, reserving a small handful for the topping.
6. Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the chicken mixture.
7. Drizzle the remaining buffalo ranch sauce evenly over the tater tots.
8. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top, followed by the remaining green onions.
9. Bake uncovered for about 45 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the tater tots are golden and crisp.
10. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version—reduce bake time to 30–35 minutes.
Adjust the hot sauce to taste if you prefer a milder dish.
Add crumbled bacon or blue cheese for extra flavor.
