Description

Warm, creamy, and loaded with bold flavor, this buffalo-style chicken dip is perfect for parties, game days, and gatherings.

Ingredients

3 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded

8 ounces cream cheese, softened and cubed

1 cup ranch dressing

1 cup hot sauce, plus more to taste

1 teaspoon black pepper

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ cup chopped green onion

1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

Instructions

1. Prepare the chicken: If your chicken isn’t already cooked, gently simmer it in water until fully cooked, then cool and shred.

2. Heat the oven: Preheat to 350°F and lightly grease a 9-by-9-inch baking dish.

3. Warm the base mixture: In a medium saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the cream cheese, ranch dressing, hot sauce, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir until smooth and fully blended, then remove from heat.

4. Stir everything together: Add the shredded chicken, green onion, 1 cup mozzarella, and 1 cup cheddar to the warm sauce mixture. Mix well and transfer to the prepared baking dish.

5. Top and bake: Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and cheddar over the top. Bake for 20–30 minutes, or until melted and bubbling around the edges.

6. Broil for color: Switch the oven to broil and cook for 2–3 minutes, just until the top turns golden. Remove promptly.

7. Serve: Enjoy warm with chips, crackers, or vegetables. Leftovers reheat well in the microwave or oven.

Notes

Adjust the heat level by adding more or less hot sauce. Shred your own cheese for the smoothest melt. Leftovers keep well for up to three days.
