Description
A hearty one-pan Tex-Mex pasta made with seasoned ground beef, tender pasta shells, and melted cheddar cheese. Perfect for quick weeknight dinners.
Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
½ medium onion, finely diced
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons taco seasoning
1 cup salsa
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1¼ cups uncooked pasta shells
2 cups beef broth
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Stir in taco seasoning, salsa, tomato sauce, beef broth, and uncooked pasta shells until well combined.
3. Bring to a gentle boil. Cover and reduce heat to medium-low.
4. Simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
5. Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
6. Serve warm.
Notes
Stir occasionally while simmering to prevent sticking. Adjust spice level by choosing mild or hot salsa.
