Description
Creamy Alfredo sauce, seasoned chicken, and melted mozzarella layered over crispy French bread for a quick and satisfying appetizer.
Ingredients
2 tablespoons butter
2 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 ⅓ cups heavy cream
1 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon black pepper
A small pinch crushed red pepper flakes
2 cups cooked, seasoned chicken breast, chopped
1 loaf French bread
2 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 ½ tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Melt butter over medium-low heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant.
3. Whisk in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
4. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
5. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Fold chopped chicken into the sauce.
7. Slice French bread lengthwise and scoop out some interior.
8. Spread chicken Alfredo mixture evenly over bread halves.
9. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
10. Bake uncovered for 15 minutes until cheese is melted and lightly golden.
11. Garnish with parsley, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
Do not boil the sauce to prevent separation.
Reheat leftovers in the oven to maintain crisp texture.
