Description
Crispy, juicy chicken bites seasoned with garlic, paprika, and herbs, cooked quickly in the air fryer for a flavorful appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds boneless chicken breast or thigh pieces, cut into bite-size chunks
1 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon ground sage
2 teaspoons baking powder
Cooking oil spray
Instructions
1. Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
2. Lightly coat the air fryer basket with cooking oil spray.
3. Place the chicken pieces in a large mixing bowl and add salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, thyme, sage, and baking powder.
4. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated with seasoning.
5. Arrange the chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
6. Air fry at 400°F for 16–22 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking.
7. Cook until the chicken is golden brown and crispy on the outside and fully cooked inside.
8. Add extra salt to taste before serving if desired.
Notes
Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
Patting the chicken dry helps achieve a crispier texture.
For oven cooking, bake at 425°F for 40–45 minutes on a wire rack over a baking sheet.
